Making an Offer

OFFERS:

Once you have found the home you wish to purchase I will prepare a written offer for you. This offer will be presented to the sellers for consideration. An offer usually contains the following:

  • An initial offer price
  • A list of items to be included in the purchase, such as appliances etc.
  • A date for the completion of the purchase
  • A list of conditions which must be met before you commit to the purchase

The conditions will likely be with regard to issues such as obtaining financing or having the home inspected and will need to be satisfied by a specific date.

COMPLETION:

The Contract of Purchase and Sale will specify a completion day for the sale. On this day, legal ownership of the home will transfer from the seller to you. Before the completion day you should hire a lawyer or notary public to handle the completion procedures.

CLOSING COSTS:

Please see the Cost Guide link at the top of this page to help determine aly costs you may incur in addition to the purchase price of your new home.
